This text provides instruction for mastering AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD 2000i commands and drawing techniques. Typical applications of AutoCAD are presented with basic drafting and design concepts, step-by-step instructions, in-depth explanations, examples and discussions of industry practices and standards, and chapter exercises, problems, and tests. Drafting problems are presented as 3D illustrations, actual plotted industrial drawings, and engineering sketches. Although no other reference is needed when using the text, icons direct readers to relevant topic areas in the AutoCAD User's Guide and the AutoCAD Customization Guide.
