Classic Hewn-Log House: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building and Restoring ebook

McRaven's guide is introduced as the bible of the vanishing art of hewn-log construction by a U. of Virginia professor emeritus of architecture. In this third edition of a book first published in 1980, a seasoned craftsman distinguishes between a log cabin and a log house, and offers historical context on this classic American building style. He emphasizes using recycled materials and provides well-illustrated directions. Annotation ©2005 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
