Kalff (biology, McGill U.) presents an introductory textbook to the study of lakes, rivers, and wetlands as ecological systems. Chapters look at the effects of a number of factors in the ecology of inland water systems, including light, pollution, climate change, temperature cycles, acidification, nitrogen cycling, bacteria, fish and water birds, particle sedimentation, and water movements.
